The National Coach Network (NCN) is a network of Australian HP coaches that aims to facilitate connection, networking opportunities and ideas sharing. You can join the NCN at no cost and engage with the network as much or as little as you like. NCN members will gain access to:

• Online coach development opportunities such as webinars
• Face-to-face gatherings with other NCN members in capital cities around Australia
• A bi-monthly newsletter
• Access to information on coach development programs targeted at HP coaches

Generation 2032 aims to support coaches with enabling world-class outcomes at every level of the pathway and inspire extraordinary sporting success in 2032.

The Program provides strategic educational interventions with practical real-world experience within daily training environments and brings together a diverse group of sports and coaches who learn from each other and share their cross-sport applications and learnings.

After piloting Generation 2032 in partnership with Queensland Academy of Sport, the program expanded across Australian in 2022 in partnership with National Sporting Organisations and the National Institute Network.

The Summit Program is designed to meet the specific needs of coaches who are working at the highest level of the Australian sport system and is aimed at enhancing their ability to consider different perspectives and ways of thinking through engagement in meaningful discussions and the examination of real-world experiences.

Program participants take part in frequent, virtual, small group, facilitated discussions where they will generate unique views and perspectives while contributing to the creation of new knowledge and expertise. Typically, the Program culminates in a two-day, face-to-face summit allowing participants to connect at a deeper level.

The ultimate outcome of engagement with the HP Coach Development Team is to empower NSOs to support development of their coaches.

This process is supported by clear documentation of the types of competencies, knowledge, experiences, and personal attributes associated with effective coaching.

The HP Coach Development Team support NSOs to facilitate strengths-based conversation with coaches and create individualised coach development plans.

The overall aim of this work is to improve coach development planning nationally.

Elevate Coach Program

AIS Elevate Coach provides a bespoke blend of face-to-face and online support and development to Performance Pathway coaches. Learning outcomes focus on knowledge, understanding and application of:

• Self, values and coaching philosophy;
• How to build and maintain effective relationships with other Performance Pathway staff and stakeholders;
• Performance Pathway coaching and holistic athlete development knowledge.

The unique feature of this program is that whilst content is focused on Performance Pathway coaching knowledge of holistic athlete development, specific content has not been pre-determined.

Elevate Learning Grants Program

The purpose of the Program is to invest in education and professional development opportunities for a sport-specific learning experience to improve the ability of the workforce to identify, develop, support and progress talented athletes (i.e. Categorised by the NSO).

Performance Pathway Practitioners and Performance Support Team members currently working directly with Performance Pathway athletes categorised as Emerging, Developing or Podium Potential.

Elevate CoachTALK

Elevate CoachTALK is an initiative of the AIS Performance Pathways team. It offers bespoke learning and development opportunities for identified Performance Pathway Coaches.

Elevate CoachTALK will provide unique state-based offerings developed through intelligence gathered through concept mapping activities.

The program aims to address the unique learning needs of each cohort through subject matter experts and facilitated peer-to-peer learning.

• Women’s Talent Programs: Transformational leadership programs designed to support Women working in High-Performance Sport focusing on self-awareness, leadership presence & professional networking.
• Team Dynamics: Building collective capability by supporting intact teams to optimise their team environment, team structure, and team processes to enable the achievement of team outcomes.

The Coach Management System is an Australian-first initiative to unify data on Australia’s HP coach workforce. Once launched, the Coach Management System will allow better understanding of who is in Australia's HP coach workforce and provide tools to facilitate coach development and creation of individual coach development plans.

The Coach Management System is currently in development with pilot work to commence at the end of 2022.

Sport Australia has created a modern approach to community coaching. Developed in collaboration with the sport sector, the new approach is about supporting the development, education and training of coaches and empowering them to provide safe, fun and inclusive environments that focus on the needs of participants.

Sport Australia have developed coach education resources for all Australian sports coaches. Coaches are invited to complete the free Essential Skills Course and access other resources, including podcasts from some of Australia's leading sport coaches, athletes and officials.
